Subtract 3/5 from both sides of the inequality. You get: x<1/6-3/5 Find a common denominator. 6*5=30 So the common denominator is 30. Write equivalent fractions using 30 as the denominator. So 1/6 becomes 5/30 and 3/5 becomes 18/30 Simplify x<5/30-18/30 So x< -13/30
