Is anyone good at rhyming and/or poetry? I have to write a rhyming poem about the color green. I have a long list I made about green things, here it is.... trees, leaves, grass, clovers, nature, forests, eyes, apples, pistachios, spinach, seaweed, broccoli, ivy, mint, crocodile, lizards, iguana, hulk, geico insurance, money, frogs, pears, grapes, unripe bananas, moss, seahawks, starbucks mermaid symbol, guacamole, emerald, avocado, St. Patrick' day. The only problem is none of those things rhyme. Also, I have to read it aloud to 8th graders, so it should be funny. please help! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

btw, a bunch of the people are seahawks fans, so it would be great if there is something green that rhymes with seahawks :)

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Add mucus to the list of things that are green. XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok!

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Socks can be green, right? Socks rhyme with seahawks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, that could work

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Hm...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or maybe i could say Green i the seahawk's jersey, except what rhymes with jersey? Maybe uniform could work?

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Or suit or outfit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

green is one of the seahawk's colors

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what rymes with colors?

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Look at all those rhymes! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) Green i one of the seahawks color It i also the color of the american dollar!!

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Indeed it is!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now what does hulk rhyme with?

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Bulk and Sulk.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't know what bulk and sulk have to do with green, o maybe instead of hulk, i could use the grinch

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Oh cool. And I was just thinking of random things that rhyme with hulk. :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about mint?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mint ice cream, and the algae downstream

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, mint is green.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i really need a better opening stanza

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can't really start with Green is the American dollar, and a Seahawk color

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean it just doesn't sound like it should be at the begining

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should start with like nature or leaves or lima beans

OpenStudy (anonymous):

! leaves and lima beans kinda rhyme

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All I got so far was: Green, It is the color of the grass The trees, the leaves, seaweed It's the color of mint ice cream

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats good! Then after that there could be another stanza of 4. The first saying green, then the next three rhyming with grass seaweed and cream

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what rhymes with grass?

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Sass? Sass isn't green but still.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know what? I doesn't really have to rhyme. I mean if it did that'd be great but it doesn't really have to

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Beans can be green, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Green beans

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rhymes with green. :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My 2nd one is: Green, It is the color of emeralds The moss, the sea hawks, socks It's the color of green beans

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, it was supposed to be funny?.. I didn't read that part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The 3rd one..: Green, It is the color of food Broccoli, pears, grapes It's the color of candy idk if that one's good. I'll do something else if you don't like it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats really good!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@FuyukoHarayo are you still here? Sorry I had to go for a while

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, i'm still here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, and it doesn't have to be funny

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just mentioning the seahawks should keep them entertained

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok Thank you so much for all the help, I have to go eat dinner now.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
