How many different telephone area codes can be formed using the digits 0– 9, if 0 is not used for the first digit?

OpenStudy (perl):

does that say 0 through 9

OpenStudy (j.f):

yes. Is it 10X10X10=1000?

OpenStudy (perl):

since 0 is not used for the first area code it should be 9x 10 x 10
