OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

find the ordered triple that representsss the vector from A(-3,5,6) to B(-6,8,6) then find the magnitude of AB. <3,-3,0>;4.24 <---- <-9,13,12>;19.85 <-3,3,0>;4.24 <-9,3,0>;9.49

OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you do a vector from one point to another, you take the values in the second point and subtract the values of the first point from the values of the second point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So for example for the x coordinate it would be -6 - (-3) = -3

OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

and the y would be 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well like I said, take the y value from B and subtract the y value of A from it

OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

I did, i got <3, -3, 0) and the magnitude is 4.24

OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

>*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not quite. I say that because i did the x coordinate as an example and your number does not match up with mine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got -3 as my x coordinate

OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

i calculated wrong then, that will be the death of me soon lol i know for sure the magnitude is 4.24 so that means it's <-3,3,0>

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes that seems correct

OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

thank you
