Can someone explain how do you find the volume of a cylinder?

The formula for volume of a cylinder is πr^3h or just pi x (r^3) x the height R^3 should be done first
its simple.. areaof the circle multiplied by height.. pi*radius square *height.
Wait, it is a 2 ...my teacher lied ._.
