What is the direct variation equation if y varies with directly with x and y=-5 when x=-15?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

direct variation equations are in the form y = kx (original equation) you need to find k, given when x = -15, y = -5 so \[-5 = k \times -15\] then substitute the value into the original equation... and that's all you need to do.

oh ok thanks so much!
