What are some of the Cons of the Colombian Exchange?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The cons in the Columbian Exchange were that diseases travelled easier. The Europeans could have some diseases that they could just heal with medicine, but the Americans probably hadn't. They died quickly because of that. However, diseases weren't the only bad thing that was brought. Slaves were brought as well. I know, you're probably thinking that slaves were pretty okay, but it wasn't. Slaves were to go to America and farm the tobacco plantations there. Europeans didn't want to farm that, so that was why the slaves were there. You see, the Columbian Exchange wasn't that great, was it?
