What are some of the elements of nationalism? Religion, History, National Emblem, Professional Sports Teams, Culture
Hi @Beautykillsszz Think about the term nationalism Nationalism reflects a person's devotion to a country, it's interests, and elements of culture.
So I would consider all of these to be elements of nationalism, but I think the ones tied most closely to nationalism would be history and culture. Make sense?
Oh so not all of them Just history and culture ? how come. ? @Jamierox4ev3r
@Jamierox4ev3r You are wrong Culture and religion have nothing to do with nationalism. Lets say im moving from India to America, I have a totally different religion and culture but will that change one im in the new nation? No, because its tied to me not my nation. Nationalism is a patriotic feeling, principles, or efforts. So the only two that would be correct Are national emblem and history. @Jamierox4ev3r By the way it's @Joel_the_boss My other account is lagging and my alt is smooth. :P
@Poke~Master314 LOL i didn't say religion xD I said history and culture And my argument for the answer being history and culture is that culture provokes much patriotic feelings because it's what you were raised with and taught to believe; in many cases, culture has influenced national emblem...but I do agree with national emblem being an example of nationalism now, as we see it and it gives us identity towards the nation that we're affiliated with. Sorry I went away, had to make a sandwich >.<
Does it have ham.. :o And yes you did but I kind of thought your explanation was unclear. ;) But hey good job. :D
So is history , Culture, and National emblem all correct :o ? I'm confused now lol. @Poke~Master314 @Jamierox4ev3r
ofc it has ham ;o and soz, i just replied really quickly so I didn't really explain at all, tbh... Also, if you think about it, the culture of our past has a lot to do with today's happenings. And in terms of music, nationalistic composers would use cultural elements of society and put it in their music to give their music an identity :) so ye. I would say all three
