Hi @sanra123 Let me give you the official definition of imperialism: Imperialism is a type of advocacy of empire. Its name originated from the Latin word "imperium", meaning to rule over large territories. Imperialism is "a policy of extending a country's power and influence through colonization, use of military force, or other means" ^ So based from that, can you name a basic example of imperialism and therefore describe it yourself?

OpenStudy (sanra123):

can u correct this for me it is when a strong country rules over a weak country by using military forces the purpose of this is to control its economic, political, and cultural life.

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Yeah! That is a good way of describing it. Another important aspect to mention is "gains" for the stronger country. The whole reason why we want to control weaker countries in the first place is to utilize the resources that they have to offer. Make sense?

OpenStudy (sanra123):

yes thanks a lot i have another question

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

okay, go ahead and make another post :)
