Help, Write cos x in terms of csc x?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hey Happy :) Let's recall our basic square identity: \(\Large\rm \cos^2x+\sin^2x=1\)

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Solving for cosine gives us:\[\Large\rm \cos^2x=1-\sin^2x\] \[\Large\rm \cos x=\sqrt{1-\sin^2x}\]

zepdrix (zepdrix):

And then do you remember how Sine relates to Cosecant?\[\Large\rm \color{orangered}{\sin x=\frac{1}{\csc x}}\]Yah? :)

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Do you see how you can get your Cosine in terms of Cosecant by using this information?\[\Large\rm \cos x=\sqrt{1-(\color{orangered}{\sin x})^2}\]

I think I got it thanks
