Write either discrete or continuous to describe each of the following types of data. 1. The mass of a suitcase (kg) 2. The temperature of an oven (Celsius) 3. The number of cars in a car park 4. The volume of a container (cm cube) cm cube means cm and 3 little up like the cube sign
please help me
can you count mass?
i dont even know the meaning of discrete and continuous
think if you can count it, then it is discrete if you can't count it, then it is continuous
oh
and i have one more doubt. can i aski
Example you can't count weight so weight is continuous Example you can count the number of students in your class so that is discrete
what is that?
is weight and the mass same
mass is a weight unit
oh ok
so how to get the abs of the above ques
not abs 'ans'
well again can you count mass, temperature, number of cars, and/or volume? which one of these can you count on your hand?
1. continuous 2. continuous 3. discrete 4. continuous am i right
sounds awesome to me :)
i think i am wrong
thanks
i will guve u medal. u are very good
thanks a lot
http://www.mathsisfun.com/data/data-discrete-continuous.html you might like this site's description more like they say discrete can be counted and continuous can be measured
like temperature, weight, and volume are all things that are measured
yeah
but counting cars is discrete
totally
thanks
np
i am closing this ques now. bye
