A cylindrical pillow has a diameter of 18 in. and a height of 36 in. It is filled with spherical foam pellets, each with a radius of 0.75 in. Approximately how many pellets are in the pillow. Use 3.14 to approximate pi. and round your answer to the nearest whole percent.

find the are of the base of the cylinder first then multiply it by the height of the cylinder to find volume then divide by 0.75 to see how many pellets can fit inside
Area of a circle is 2 times 3.14 times the radius
radius = half the diameter
2(3.14)(9)=56.52 --> 56.52 x 36 = 2034.72/0.75= 2712.96 and the answer would be 2713
