Conquer I've made so many post about similar topics. But the truth is that they at each never going to remove the fun part of os. Why remove something that will cause 1k plus user to leave os for good. Think of how brainly is, boring and no life. Why would you want to do that to os?? Have you no heart ;_;

However..there's a controversy that it would encourage more spam on posts, and the chats are actually for a breather for people that want to take a break from helping or posting questions.

My suggestion. Ever work because there pointless repeated suggestions. If they were never acknowledge I. The past, why do you think they will today? Just post your suggestion and don't rage. XD I'm speaking from experience, I have had 25+ suggestions and only 3-5 have been acknowledged.

@conqueror , indeed OS is not facebook but it is indeed a socializing website. It is a platform which allows you to find and meet other students with similar academic interests from all around the world. So it's a socio-educational website. Chatboxes have their own role and are inseparable.

Besides, when a user decides to use the chats "incorrectly", they can be reported and dealt with from there. They will face the consequences:

Pros
1. What Eric Said.
2. It keeps (most) spammers away from post
3. If someone needs help and no one is coming they can post their link in the chat.
4. When you are waiting for your question to be answered, or taking a break, you have the chats to go to
5. The chat keeps the site really active. Think about brainly with no chats. People can get super bored just waiting for their question to be answered, or waiting for questions to be asked, and they don't have a chat to go to wait, so they will eventually just leave.
6. To chat with friends and other users
7. If you have something small to ask, you can ask in the chats.
8. People in the chats can really help you around the site if they are willing to.
Cons
1. Spamming
2. Sexual stuff and cussing
3. Distracts some people from helping
4. Distracts people from homework
5. Bullying

I want to keep the chats, so I am going to post something going against some of these cons.
1. 2. and 5. Moderators and warn, and eventually suspend, or users can report them for their behavior and eventually community suspend them. Even if there weren't any chats, spamming, and all of that, will be on question threads. I'd rather have that in the chats then threads
