PLEASE HELP ME

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Factor x^2 + 6x + 8. (x + 1)(x + 6) (x + 1)(x + 8) (x + 2)(x + 4) prime

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathrulezz Wouldnt this be C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would*

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep two number if you multiply them you should get 8 and if you add or subtract them you should get 6 so 2 times 4 = 8 2 +4 = gO_Od

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes definitely c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you all :) !

Nnesha (nnesha):

np :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure thing

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

(x + 1)(x + 6) -- Well, 1*6 = 6, and not 8, so this one is out. (x + 1)(x + 8) -- Well, 1 + 8 = 9, and not 6, so this one is out. (x + 2)(x + 4) -- Hmmm... This one is looking pretty good. You COULD just multiply the binomials and see.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was just making sure I did it right and thanks @tkhunny

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok... the factors of 8. They are: 1,2,4,8 the factors of 8 and will give you the 6 2 + 4 = 6 So we will use 2 7 4 to factor the equation. @tkhunny

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Now, we're talking. Good work.
