Suspension So it happened like a week ago but i didn't ask why. The confusion is, isn't it supposed to be couple of warning & then suspension? Coz i never got any warnings (that i have seen) & the reason to suspension was 'too many abuse reports' So my curiosity here is, do you guys, moderators, actually check those abuse reports if they are real or not? Because to be frank i don't remember breaking ANY rule from CoC I wonder if anyone seen me break them? (maybe i did & don't remember)
'Too many abuse reports' means that 5 users reported you within a short amount of time for something. And that issues a community suspension which lasts fo 24 hours.
yeah i got that idea lol basically i was banned because 5 ppl decided to report me for whoknowswhat?
Actually i have been community banned before but i think every mod gets notifed that this happens and they do check them what ended up happening was the reports on me were false and my account was reinstated
"community suspended' But those are not official (from a moderator) and sometimes people gang up on users who they dislike so that they can suspend them.
It would be best to ask a moderator if the reason why you were suspended was actually a legitmate reason. They can look through the logs and tell you if you actually deserved the suspension (And knowing you, I doubt you deserved it). But if you were falsely reported and community suspended then the people who reported you could get warned or suspended for 'falsely reporting' a user.
that would be good actually i will do that then coz im curious myself if i did anything wrong that day
Actually, it doesn't even have to be 5 different users. Just 5 reports in a short period of time.
Well it does have to be different accounts though at least. You can't just report someone 5 times in a row on one account to get them sus'd. But yeah, this feature gets abused a lot.
@sleepyjess Poop is correct. 5 users have to report. Not one user reports 5 times. That's would be abused so much.
I have an idea...you know when a mod warns you, a notif pops up? How about when you are community suspended, a notif appears telling exactly \(what\) comment or post or whatsoever was reported. So you'll have an idea why, at least.
Nope, I got comm susp from 1 user
I'm pretty sure that user had alts too. I remember when a user used all of his alts to community suspend me >.> Good thing I was able to talk to a mod offline from OS and got my account reinstated :P
true dat at least i would want to know why is that ok, they do write reasoning if mod suspends but this community suspension it needs to be checked like really
If you are falsely comm suspended, you can use an alt to tell someone, I asked @hartnn about that I believe.
i dont exactly like being sort of 'punished' for what i didnt do and im sure none do so it would be good to know if it was real ( if yes, then i'd like to know what i did) or not
I also had off of OS ways to contact people :)
I too talked to a mod i know but i didnt ask him to remove suspension lol well coz i took it as break from os due to studies and such, but tbh i wanted to know why i was reported
Lol that is the smart thing to do :) take a break everyone needs one, once in a while right? but if u still want to know contact a mod :)
yeah that sure thing is considered ' break from os ' and ' back to trouble in reality #_# ' so dramatic lol
xD its okay it wont hurt u or anything im sure u haven't done anything wrong ( knowing u)
does anyone know if it takes time/hard to do? i mean checking the abuse reports directed to me? coz if it does, i wouldn't want to bother them really though i still am curious lol
Nah they just have to do a simple search.
And since its recent it will be easier :P
yay good i won't feel guilty then :3
Unless you had a bad past and they find out about that ;)
lol i did give feedback on your idea :D
yeah, recent reports are easy to find I would assume. I asked Ashley one time to tell me when I was suspended, and it was way back in October lol
sry Somy >_>
OH I like that idea Eclipsed
@TheSmartOne i would like to know my dark past :3 such a mystery xD

if they do consider this suggestion, it would be awesome
alright! asked a mod!
Ooh Thom's online
i asked @Kainui :3
Thanks guys! Specially @TheSmartOne for explaining and @EclipsedStar for suggestion! @sleepyjess & @pooja195 too :)
Haha np :)
Np! :3
:***
Thomaster didn't agree with my suggestion...it's supposed to be confidential. ;)
Well it depends, they can't tell you who reported you but they can tell you what you got reported on.
So idk anymore xD
no need to show who reported just which post was reported if we could see that - would be enough
That means that they can't tell you who reported you.. unless you know the mod really well they might spill the beans ;)
Sometimes you know who reported you though :)
I didn't mention anything about "who reported" though...
When I got community suspended, there was a user spamming "Retrice" in a chat, I welcomed them and asked them to please stop spamming and use more appropriate language. Apparently they didn't like that...
i guess we cant do anything then
O_O
Somy, i am sorry, you were community suspended. You can message a mod offline or you can ask any of your friend to do that or in this case, even if you make a new account to messgae an online mod, that would be fine.
its okay :3 it seems like it'll be a lot of work to look through it so i'll forget about it if i get suspended again, i will make sure to tell someone :) @hartnn Thanks!
