A courtroom is holding a trial for a 20-year-old man (the defendant) accused of pick-pocketing the wallet of another man (the plaintiff) while asking him for directions on a city street. During the hearing, both the defendant and the plaintiff are asked to describe, in their own words, what exactly occurred on the day of the incident. Choose a social role for each man from this list: doctor, nurse, sports announcer, flight attendant, disc jockey, farmer, politician, singer, car salesman, policeman, kindergarten teacher, lawyer, real estate agent, retired marine officer, or economis

Imagine yourself in the roles of the defendant and the plaintiff, and write a description of the events that occurred on that day, first from the perspective of the plaintiff and then from the perspective of the defendant. Note that the voice of the descriptions—effectively dialogues—should reflect the characters’ respective social roles.
