I have a skeletal system project due on Wednesday. Can you guys help me??? Here are the requirements..... 8. Skeletal System • Major functions of skeletal system • Diagram that includes the major parts -bones (the structure- compact, bone marrow), ligaments, and tendon - and list the function(s) of each. NOTE: Your diagram should also include the following bones in the body: cranium, clavicle, humerus, scapula, sternum, rib, vertebra, ulna, radius, carpals, metacarpals, phalanges, pelvis (may list parts), femur, patella, tibia, fibula, tarsals, and metatarsals. • Describe each of the following joints and where they are located: hinge, pivot, and ball-and-socket. You may include other joints as well. • Explain how your body system works with other systems in the body. You will need at least 2 examples. • Find 5 fun facts about your body system.
you there @Ksimon
Any help??? :)
This is worth most of my science grade.
ok do you know anything about skeletal system
what are some major functions
Uuuuum.... It expands the body???
I don't really know much about it...
Well its a framework of the body, consisting of bones and other connective tissues, which protects and supports the body tissues and internal organs.
do you how many bones a human has?
As a baby 300, but as they grow older they start to lose bones and have up to 206.
And when your a baby your skull isn't in one piece it is in little pieces as you grow older the pieces come together to form one skull.
That's why when people investigate bones the skull has crack traces
yea around 300 and yes 206 as we grow. Six of which are the tiny bones of the middle ear *3 in each ear*
Oh.
yep you should write that down :D
whats the largest bone in the body?
I don't really know..... we haven't really gotten into facts with the systems yet. We just started learning about the skeletal system.
Thank you for helping me also!!! :)
ok lets finish point one :d Ok now you got a better understand of skeletal system so whats the function of the Skeletal system?
It is a framework of the body, and protects it. It helps us move our bodies.
CORRECT but it also stores minerals. now put that in a complete paragraph if you can :D
Okay.
I wanna say that the largest bone in the body is the femur?????
Hello????
I need more help???? :(
you are correct on the assumption that the femur is the largest bone in the human body
COOLNESS!!!!!!!
ye! :D
We haven't studied the bones much so I just took a wild guess. :)
ok let me help you on the paragraph
first we said that the skeletal system is a framework of the body, consisting of bones and other connective tissues, which protects and supports the body tissues and internal organs. And has 206 bones in a human body and ix of which are the tiny bones of the middle ear *3 in each ear*
I have to do a prezi and break it up into parts.
so it performs vital functions like you said was it protect the body, stores minerals and is the frame work of our body which enables us to move everyday in our lives
so if its prezi lets start with the function and then we will move on when you understand :D
Did u find this online???
It's usually where I find my stuff. :)
some reasearch but its mainly stuff i remeber from anatomy class :D
Coolness!!!! :)
ok did you write what i said down? for the prezi
Yup.
ok tell me what you wrote :D
Haha u 2 r good at this!!
Okay, The skeletal system is a framework and a protector of the body. It stores minerals and calcium. It also helps the blood work. The skeletal system helps us to move. In order to keep us moving, tendons conjoin the skin and bone so that they stick together.
well tendons connect bone to muscle and ligaments connect bone to bone :D
remember that that :D
Okay.
also put an example like how it protects our heart :D
ok.
ok now the next point. what kind of diagram are we making?
I am emailing her right now.
ok tell me what she says :D
Okay.
