i need an attention getter for my informative speech on cancer?
Try starting your paragraph by asking a topic-related AND interesting question, or by give a "startling stat" about the subject.
Something like: " In 2015, there will be an estimated 1,658,370 new cancer cases diagnosed and 589,430 cancer deaths in the US." [change that^ up a bit because, I coped/pasted that information and would not want to be plagiarizing] Source: http://www.cancer.org/research/cancerfactsstatistics/cancerfactsfigures2015/index \(\large\color{lightblue}{Good~ Luck!!}\) ^.^ and you feel free to come back post your speech if you want feedback, advise, etc. :3
You might want to find a way to mention the fault in out stars. I mean they both had cancer but they both lived good life's. You know so you can show that why cancer is a horrible thing you can still have a life.
Use an acedote, id do that. Id go for a story of a young mother, or a son and one of their battles with cnacer.if your writing this ona certain cancer id go through steps on how the tumours, or the cnacer infected someone and how it changed their life. Ive personally seen people go through cancer (im sure everyone has) so like id go through the ideals of pathos, and then appeal to logods-apply common sense. But gripping to the persons emotions will strive for a stronger argument and informative speach
@Duck_Dynasty The mention of "The Fault In Our Stars" would put less value on an \(\large\scr\color{darkgray}{informative}\) essay. It would sort of be considered colloquialism. :3
