What is the absolute value of 25?
Um, you just asked this question..
25
absolute value = ho are from 0
far*
The absolute value is the how far away a number is from zero. You would have to subtract 25 to get to zero. Therefore, your answer is -25 is the absolute value of zero.
Actually it's just 25. |25| = 25 |-25| = 25
Both it's positive and negative values are 25 units away from 0.
Oops, my bad. You're correct. Thanks!
You had the right idea, though. :P
Good rule of thumb to follow: Absolute value is ALWAYS a positive value
Right, absolute values always, always ALWAYS have an absolute value. And you know when you're going to find the absolute value if you see these lines around a number |x| When you find the absolute value of something, you're just kind of finding the positive version of the number. And if the number between the lines is already positive, it's just the number in between the lines. So for example: The absolute value of 5. |5|=5 Now for the absolute value of -5. |-5|=5.
