Psychology is a science. Therefore, in psychology, we use tests, surveys, experiments, and other research methods, in order to collect data and learn more about how humans think and behave. Someone who has a general interest in human behavior doesn't have to be a scientist. They don't necessarily use research methods, or collect data and information. Does that make sense?
