What is the solution of the system of equations? y=3x-4 and -3y=-9x+12
welcome to openstudy! Use substitution :)\[ -3(3x-4)=-9x+12\]
Now distribute -3 times 3x =? -3 times -4 = ?
-9x +12
\[-9x+12=-9x+12 \] now what do you think? ( haha you walked into a surprise xD)
oh that is a surprise.. lol
ok so what exactly is your question? Is it just solve?
yeah pretty much
oh wait umm... there is *no solution *(2,-2) *infinite solutions and *(4,8) those are possible answers
O_O you saw nothing xD ok so if you try to solve this what is your answer gonna be?
no solution? but im just guessing because you typed in 0=0
LOL you didnt put the options so i literally gave it away >_< but thats incorrect if 0=0 it will not be no solution try again
Any ideas?
ok... is it (2,-2)
Nope if its 0=0
because i tried solving it with the first equation you gave me and pluged these and got 6=6
thats not correct it is 0=0 look at the images i showed you the first one shows not a solution and the one on the bottom shows a solution this means the problem you have is what?
this might help better :)
ohhh its infinite solutions..
YES!! well done :D
aha ...i like you... you explain things very well... thanks
hhaha thanks ^_^ if you ever need help tag me :)
ok i'll be sure to do that.. :)
