Martha is putting a wallpaper border along the top of the four walls in her bedroom. The room is a rectangle that measures 12 feet by 10 feet. One package of wallpaper border is 6 feet long. How many packages does Martha need.

What exactly are you having a problem with here? Do you know how to find the perimeter of the room?

Well to find the perimeter of the room, you will want to add up all of the sides of the rectangle room. This basically is 10+10+12+12. This is the perimeter of the room in feet and how much total wall paper Martha will need. To find out how many packages she needs you want to divide the number you just got by 6 feet. Always round up if it is not a whole number because its better to have more paper than not enough.
