OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Anyone know how to do flip flop wave forms?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

This is a negative edge trigger

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

What I don't get it prior to the first NET, is it suppose to be negative or positive?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

@ganeshie8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not science

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

It could be math.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

If you don't know how to do it, it's okay dude.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

It is hard to read the labels bottom two nets are D and Q ?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Yes

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

what are the labels on top nets ?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

!Clk, negative edge

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Okay so this is a negative edge triggered D flip flop

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

whats your question exactly ?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

you notice the value before the first edge trigger is 0, is that correct?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

On D waveform ?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Q

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Yes the starting value of Q is 0

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

at the first negative edge of CLK, Q changes to 1 because D is 1

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

the flop samples the D input at every negative edge of CLK
