Because of their ability to undergo _____, viruses can rapidly evolve.
Whats your guess?
Is there any choices @smithmikeeeeeee23
As a virus enters one's body it finds receptors on the surface of healthy cells to attach and inject its DNA. A cell, in response, will evolve and try to change its surface protein structure so viruses can't easily attach to it. White blood cells which also try to eliminate the virus. Viruses that cannot adapt are killed by your body's defensive cells while others mutate and avoid the killer T cells. I'd say the enzyme reverse transcriptase because that's predominant in retroviruses such as HIV and it has helped HIV a lot in invading our bodies.
