The diagram shows the construction of a parallel line M. Determine the reason why M is parallel to L. When two lines are cut by a transversal and the alternate interior angles are congruent, the lines are parallel. When two lines are cut by a transversal and corresponding angles are congruent, the lines are parallel. When two lines are cut by a transversal and same side interior angles are supplementary, the lines are parallel. When two lines are cut by a transversal and alternate exterior angles are congruent, the lines are parallel.
