WILL MEDAL AND FAN GUYS! How do you find the square root of 45.25? Please use easy to understand terms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take 49 for instance, it is 7•7. Then do 6•6 which is 42. In between there is your 45.25. Now you know that your number is going to be 6.something. Go up in the decimals 1-9 until you find the best possible final answer which would be 6.7. Just think, 45 is closer to 49 so the decimal is going to make the total number closer to 7. Final answer 6.7

OpenStudy (hannaha):

Thanks! Gosh, i hate the fact that finding the square root of decimals is like a guessing game.
