Help me out please!
A company distributes free boxes of paperclips to all the workers in x offices. Each office has 8 more departments than the number of offices. The number of workers in each department is 4 less than the number of departments in each office. Each worker is given 3 boxes of paperclips Which expression shows the number of workers in each department? A) x B) x+8 C) X+4 D) 3x(x+8)(x+4)
@misty1212
What do you think the answer is?
By process of elimination, you can determine that X=Offices, so therefore, A is incorrect. X+8=departments, therefore B is incorrect. X+4 is the number of People in each department, so therefore, C is correct. If i'm correct, D shows you how many people are there In total, rather than each department individually.
Thanks! @ashley_king 1 more?
Sure, I'm dicing some potatoes right now just so you know if I don't reply immediately
Organize the following expressions from greatest to least by number of terms: I. x + 2xyz II. 3x + y + z III. 2x2y + x2 - 3x + 4 IV. 9x2yz
@satellite73
Okay, so terms are the variables and their coefficient. So, I. would be a binomial, II. Trinomial, III. Quadrilateral, and IV. Monomial. Are you able to organize them from that or do you need more help with it?
