nonnumeric means not dealing with numbers.
nonnumeric growing pattern :
$$\Large A,B, A,A, B, A,A,A, B, A,A,A,A, B, ...$$
the number of A's is increasing in the sequence

nonnumeric repeating pattern:
$$\Large A,B, A,B, A, B,A,B, A, B,A,B,A, B, ...$$
the pattern A , B keeps repeating
