Sample #1: Active Voice: Data is answering this question. Passive Voice: This question is answered by Data. Sample #2: Active Voice: Star posted the question. Passive voice: The question is posted by Star. Sample #3: Active Voice: Data is eating the chicken that is hidden from the kitchen. Passive Voice: The chicken that is hidden from the kitchen is being eaten by Data ^_^
In active voice, the subject does the action Example- He cleaned the windows In passive voice, the subject received the active Example- The windows were cleaned by him :)
So basically present and past in speaking
I mean receives the action*
I need help with the question because it all seems past
One of them is different.
I want to say B but i'm not entirely sure
No...
no, it's the arrangement of the sentence structure in Active Voice: Subject-Verb-Object in Passive: Object-Verb participle-Subject
I'm thinking its between A and D when it's put that way
want to learn some trick when answering this kind of questions? passive voice usually have "by" in the sentence to show the connection of the object and the subject. BUT sometimes, it is hidden-if it is the you should always remember that the passive voice always start with an object not verb :P
So it is D thank you @Data_LG2
nope , i did not say anything... FOr letter D: Object is Mr. Rupert Verb: was irritated the question, irritated by whom? that will be the subject which is the students so this one is a passive voice not active :P
hmmm i'm horrible at this voice this but awesome in english
so far B and Dare ruled out seemingly enough A and C are left
read the hint, hint, hint, hint, hint.................................................. *echos until you can't hear it anymore*
Alright i say A because C makes no sense what so ever
that's right but your reasoning is totally unacceptable -.- For A: To calm down his unruly class, Mr. Roper (Subject) created a seating chart(Verb) that split apart the noisy students(Object). Active Voice: Subject-Verb-Object For C: The Mr. Roper's students(Object) were easily distracted(Verb) by the sounds(Subject) coming from Mrs. Sloane's scienc class. Passive: Object-Verb participle-Subject HINT: "by"
Thank you very much for your help @Data_LG2 if i could give you another medal i would
no worries :) and i don't need medals... i need pizzah xD
