surface area integration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=2\sqrt{x+1} for 1 \le x \le 10\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\int\limits 2 \pi f(x)ds\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[4 \pi \int\limits \sqrt{x+1}\sqrt{1+\frac{ 1 }{ x+1 }}dx\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I combined the fraction and canceled out the x+1s and got\[\int\limits_{1}^{10}\sqrt{x+2}dx\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but when I compute this it is not the same answer I get for the original integral.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm got it
