I’m going through 18.01sc, and working the problem sets. However, the problem sets for unit 2 make multiple references to equations that are presumably in the book or in some notes that we are not privy too. For instance, excercises 2A-1 and 2A-3 reference equation (2), while 2A-9 and 2A-10 reference equations (9), (10), (12), and (13). Where can I find a reference to what these equations are? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Good question. The 18.01SC is based on 18.01 Fall 2006, and apparently they did not notice these occasional references to material they neglected to carry-over to the SC version. However, in the 18.01 2006 version of the course I found this http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mathematics/18-01-single-variable-calculus-fall-2006/readings/course-reader/ some additional material. I believe you want Section A "Approximation" Apparently the equations in that pdf are what the question 2A-1 (and the others) reference.

Thanks. That seems to be what I'm looking for.
