sammixboo (sammixboo):

Not really a good way of explaining this, but what is the square root of 300? Do you have a calculator

OpenStudy (juliebeans):

Yes

OpenStudy (juliebeans):

I gut a bunch of numbers and decimals /;

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Right! So that means you have to round. I am going to list the answer here with a few of the decimals added with it. 17.3205 Now the tenths place in the decimal is 1 digit away from the decimal. To get there that means we must start rounding. Let's look at the 5. Since 5 >= 5, that means we round the 0 to a 1, so now we have 17.321 17.321 Now looking and the last 1 digit, the 1 doesn't change the 2 because 1 isn't equal tpo or greater than 5, so now we have 17.32

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Now, what do you think the answer is?

OpenStudy (juliebeans):

17.3?

OpenStudy (juliebeans):

WAIT I MISSED READ IT LOL

OpenStudy (juliebeans):

17.2

sammixboo (sammixboo):

You were correct the first time :) the 2 in 17.32 keeps the 3 the same, so you would have 17.3

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Sorry for late response

OpenStudy (juliebeans):

its fine thanks! :D
