OpenStudy (slickster256):

can someone explain this problem to me and how to solve it A set of numbers is shown: {0, 1.5, 2.8, 6, 12, 18} Which of the following shows all the numbers from the set that make the inequality 3x + 3 ≥ 21 true? {12, 18} {6, 12, 18} {0, 1.5, 18} {0, 1.5, 2.8}

OpenStudy (mikeymaximum):

Wat I would do is start off with a couple of numbers and if those numbers make the inequality true then I would cross out the answers that don't have those particular numbers

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

FIRST solve/simplify the inequality. ie reduce the >= down to a simple statement that x >= something ....... using normal algebraic manipulation.

OpenStudy (slickster256):

so a is right

OpenStudy (slickster256):

or {12, 19}

OpenStudy (mikeymaximum):

I would actually say that the answer is B. But u were quite close

OpenStudy (slickster256):

ok i see thx for helping

OpenStudy (mikeymaximum):

Ur welcome ((thumbsup))
