Robyn, a photographer living in New York City, is framing some of the pictures she took of the city. Each picture is 5 inches by 7 inches and she has 12 pictures to frame. The frames she has chosen are black, thin, and made of plastic. What will the total length around all of the frames be?

hi welcome to openstudy! first thing you have to calculate is the perimeter of one frame which is equal to the perimeter of a rectangle. Do you know what's the formula of a rectangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a=bxh

hello

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i was away.. that's for the area.. perimeter is the sum of all sides of a rectangle so P= 2L + 2W plug the given values from your question and solve for the perimeter of one frame

@heatprincess54 still there?

still here

so what will you get for the perimeter of one frame of 5 is the width and 7 is the length?
