do jokes count as writing can someone revise my freestyle poem

I wrote this poem because people defile two things : nature and women ,and it saddens me how through the ages women have been look upon as a 'useless toy' there to entertain us. from not being able to marry whoever they please to not having fair wages they have not been looked at as a human being because she is weak … but in many ways woman is stronger than man .

The Rain

the rain..
It seems to comes from an unknown world
washing the earth with its tears
is this meeting a coincidence?
is it a temporary necessity?
or is it an addiction?
rain is just like a girl
sometimes kind
sometimes fickle
poring down heavenly
or not falling at all
poring down hot
or freezing
shattering
halfway to the ground
though she may be unstable
and sometimes frail
don't look down on her
because she can make a rainbow in her womb
sheltering the sun with her bosom
it is the source of all life
so do not mock it
do not waste it
do not defile it
cherish it
or it will leave you
never to return ...

Well I think they do count if you're doing stand-up comedy. Where you have to write and think about your jokes. Sorry I don't understand your question so well but what I can tell you is writing is a form of expression. There's no right and wrong, write what you feel even if they are jokes. :)
