Well i would put it as DNA has many parts that can not be seen with microscopes the helix? it cant be seen with the microscope therefore scientists will often use other equipment getting it?

DNA is a polynucleotide, in other words, nucleic acid = chemistry 
atoms and chemical structures/compounds cannot be seen using microscope
