What is the interquartile range (IQR) of the data? http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1546500_1547000/1546633/2/a00ffb95486c0d065499171e01f1cf4cac7d8f1b/MS_IMA_10_10_lesson_manuscript_UNIT_CHECKPOINT_Art_08.jpg please help i will give a medal

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

To find the IQR, put the number is order from least to greatest then find the middle

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

When you find the middle, put a line inbetween them and find the middle of those two sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you @Love_Ranaa

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

After that, subtract the lowest from the highest and voila :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but what is the answer i don`t understand

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

Alright. Your numbers are 22, 24, 28, 32, 35, 36, 36, 40, 43, 45, 47, and 50 Find the middle of those numbers.

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

The middle is in between 36 and 36 What are your answer choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont i have to put the answer in the blank box

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

|dw:1425591817841:dw| Now subtract the lowest number from the highest number in the picture

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15 i guess

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

Right :) 15 is your IQR

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much @Love_Ranaa

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

No problem :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have another question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The box-and-whisker plot shown summarizes the number of laps team members swam in practice. What is the interquartile range for this data? A. 5 B. 15 C. 10 D. 20

OpenStudy (love_ranaa):

Now I am not really good at box-and-whiskers. You might have to ask iGreen or Conqueror or @sammixboo or somebody :P
