I like the dark, and it likes me
the dark is where i wanna be
it picks me up when i fall down
and makes me smile when i frown
wipes my tears, and takes my pain
makes me happy and feel sane
i know im strange, and thats okay
i know i weird, but that wont change
some people prefer to be in the light
but dark is not bad, so i prefer the night
so quiet it seems, this peaceful land
come on, come with me, give me your hand
come and take a walk with me
just leave your sadness and be free
come and hang with me and my friends
off in the distant dark lands
its not evil, like most people say
its only evil if you make it that way
go be free, and live your life
shake off the day and ring in the night
light a fire, sing a song
dance and cheer all night long
we are young, we are free
don't let anyone tell you who you should be!
