OpenStudy (happykiddo):

What are all the dehydrogenase enzymes in the calvin cycle. What do they all do?

OpenStudy (thadyoung):

Think about the name, de-hydrogen. Meaning to remove a proton \(\sf \color{red}{NOTE:}\) When i say \(proton\), I am not referring to like the inside of nucleus proton, rather in chemistry, a proton is often used to describe a hydrogen, H\(^+\) What's basically happening with this enzyme is that it oxidizes a substrate by a reduction reaction. It transports a proton to some electron acceptor biomolecule.

OpenStudy (happykiddo):

I was looking for the actual names of the enzymes.
