I need help with multi-step real world problems: Lisa is on a trip of 1,894 miles. She has already traveled 159 miles. She has 5 days left in her trip. How many miles does she need to travel each day to complete the trip?

OpenStudy (igreen):

First subtract 159 from the total miles, then divide by 5.

OpenStudy (igreen):

\(\dfrac{1894 - 159}{5}\)

OpenStudy (mikeymaximum):

347 miles a day

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thank you @iGreen so the formula is total-already traveled/days traveling, correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you @MikeyMaximum

OpenStudy (mikeymaximum):

U r quite welcome :D
