V=lwh means V= L*W*H (length times width times height) To get H divide both sides by (L*W) H= V / (L*W) Do the same for the next equation. N=7LH Divide both sides by 7L. N/ (7L) = H F=n/4 + 37 You need to get n alone. So isolate n/4 on one side. Do this by subtracting 37 from both sides. F-37 = n/4 Now you just want n and on the right side of the equation you have n divided by four. So do the opposite operation of dividing by four which is multiplying each side by four. 4(F-37) = n
