Can a triangle be formed with the sides 15,15, and 8

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Do you know how to tell if a triangle can be formed using the side lengths?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Yea but it still has me stumped idk maybe I'm doing it wrong

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

All you have to do is use the Triangle Inequality Theorem, which states that the sum of two side lengths of a triangle is always greater than the third side.

Sorry the real question was 15,15,30 I got mixed up with the next question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be false BC it's not more then the third side

Directrix (directrix):

Correct.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

Yup! There you go.
