Help?
Given the relation y = –4x2 – 8, if the input is 2, what is the output? 8 –8 –16 –24
We're not going to do your test for you.
Dude. I will fail the 9th grade if i dont get help. its the end of the term, and my teacher is submitting my grade, i have a C and that below the standards
Let's do the first question. When you have an input/output question all you have to do is plug in your input into the equation. The answer you get is your output. That said, which one do you think the answer is?
Well post your questions individually and try to learn from our help, don't expect straight answers from us.
what i thought originally, -8 or -24.
I agree with @Unanimoose ...
I did, i deleted the other ones, plus i can give u medals for each one.
Okay, so if you have two different answers then the best thing to do is to go over each step of the question.
And thank you for letting us go over the questions individually. :)
I have until 6 to complete it.

No \(\normalsize\sf\color{lime}\LaTeX\) please?
It'll take too long. :P
Why not?
It take a LONG time to load for me
So. Yah.
Well, if it causes a problem for your computer then I won't do it. :(
Step 1: Plug in the value for 'x' into the equation. -4x2 - 8 = y -4 * 2 * 2 - 8 = y
Step 2: Multiply and then Subtract. -4x2 - 8 = y
-24
OK. So, what is negative four times two times two? ( -4 * 2 *2)
-16
Good.
So. Finish Step 2. -4x2 - 8 = y -4 * 2 * 2 - 8 = y -8 * 2 - 8 = y -16 - 8 = y
What is -16 - 8?
-24.
After this can i just get answers? (i know its not right, but i REALLLLYYY need the answers, im never doing this again, so yea.)
Step 3: Determine y. -4x2 - 8 = y -4 * 2 * 2 - 8 = y -8 * 2 - 8 = y -16 - 8 = y -24 = y The output is: ___
What is our output?
-2
-24*
Correct! Do you understand what we have to do to get the answer?
yup.
-_- OK. Next question.
Close this one and post the next one.
Ill tag you in the next one? (these are all different, i have one screenshot.)
Okay. :P
