Which can change the direction of a downward input force into an upward output force? Iv'e narrowed it down to these 4 "simple machines". A. can opener B. ax blade C. crowbar D. screw

OpenStudy (yolo_king):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (yolo_king):

I was thinking the screw because it can have both a upward and downward motion,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

True

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought the same thing but I also thought wedge. (axe blade)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just noticed that all of the answers are wedges except the screw which is a spiraled inclined plane. THX

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) So D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (yolo_king):

I would say so Because if you think about it you can only use the wedge in a downward motion, it on't be very use full in an upward motion would it :P So yes I would say D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thx Bro :D

OpenStudy (yolo_king):

You bet :)
