FAN+MEDAL Two pyramids are similar. The volume of the larger pyramid is 125 m3 and the volume of the smaller pyramid is 27 m3. The height of the smaller pyramid is 3 m. What is the height of the larger pyramid?

I will help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use a=l x w x h, that should help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it doesnt give me the L or W so how can i do that @upandup334

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\bf \cfrac{volume}{volume}=\left(\cfrac{side}{side}\right)^3\quad thus\quad \cfrac{125}{27}=\left(\cfrac{h}{3}\right)^3\quad \textit{solve for }h\)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

notice, the sides must correspond for the ratio similarity thus the numerator is the bigger one whilst the denominator is the smaller one
