MEDAL & FAN FOR EVERYONE THAT HELPS :) Write an equation in slope intercept form of a line with the given parametric equations. x= 9t + 2 y= 2t - 2 Can someone explain to me how to find it please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have an idea, yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve the first equation for \(t\) in terms of \(x\) then replace \(t\) in the second equation by whatever you get for \(t\) in the first one you will have written \(y\) in terms of \(x\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if that is not clear, let me know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so t = x-2 / 9 ?

@satellite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i managed to get y = 2 (x-2 / 9) - 2 ? How do I solve it now if that's correct? @satellite73

OpenStudy (caominhim):

plug an x value into your new equation. plug the new x and y value into the parametric equation and see if the T values match up
