hey poem please tell me what you think

I’m just another person,
And yet I’m treated like
Some infectious disease?
And were told to be loud and proud.
As I march on the street.
But there’s always that one voice saying
“I need to find peace”.
But then they tell me who I am
Like they know me at all.
Like this singular thing has to strip me to nothing.
But sins…
Because that’s all you see
As you hand me a bible
In which I can’t believe.
Because it doesn’t respect me!
For “Gods” sake it doesn’t even respect itself.
This god you’ll call perfect seems nothing but a
Hypocrite to me.
A man who tells you to be
Because of his superiority.
And if you want to bow down to a god
Because of whatever views I respect that
But don’t tell me who I am as if you really cared.
You just want to ensure yourself a safe trip up the stairs.
But in doing so you’ve ended down.
According to your standards that is.
And it’s sad because I’m the person who ends in hell
Just because of who I love.
And its sad because I’m a better person than you.
If this is the type of actions that your god promotes
I want nowhere near that hate.
Because I’m just following the rainbow
And you’re on the a sinking staircase
So it looks like the truth is.
I’m the one who finds the pot of gold.

It is very true SOME Christians are that way. They do things contradicting that the bible does not condone. If one preaches the word they need o know that setting an example is the most logical an rational thing to do. Treating someone as if they are not superior is wrong. I respect your views and hope that their behavior does not impact your view on Christianity. That is like assuming ALL Muslims are terrorists. Not all of them believe that mass deaths in Allah's name is justifiable. Overall, a job well done on insight.

@InExileWeTrust i am personally not christian but that has to do with other reasons than the whole gay thing. While i do believe that the bible its self is hypocritical i understand thats my personal belief and i do respect people who r Christians as long as they respect me for my opinions and beliefs. i actually have a huge respect for Christianity because it probably saved my brothers life. it got him to stop drinking. So while i disagree i do agree that it can be a very good thing

I know you aren't Christian (poem kinda gave it away) but I am saying not to lose all hope on Chrisitianity. They are flawed and don't enjoy having to admit that imperfection is in their blood.

@inexilewetrust @heypips @horsegirl27 i mean its just a bunch of general things. Like i dont believe in a perfect god and the trinity makes no sense to me. Those are like the majority 2 reasons but i have a list. But im glad u all liked it
