inside of this is a geometric series.  once the ball has dropped the 27 metres, it then goes up and down, first 18, then 12, then 8 and so on.

i forgot to tell you, the answer should be 135 :)

it is 135, i used my calc incorrectly.  look at the diag and you will see.....
