Find the value of x.
Where's the question?
The equation, I mean.
There is only a picture

Can you link it to us? Or draw it using the "Draw" feature at the bottom of the reply box?
Here is the pic
Thank you.
Okay cool. So, do you know what degrees every number should add up to?
Umm no
That's fine! Okay, so before we do anything. We need to find what everything should add up to. To find the degrees of a polygon, you need to use this formula: \[180(n-2)\] The "n" represents the number of sides. How many sides does your polygon have?
5 sides so it would be 5-2 which is 3 and 180•3=540 so it would add up to 540 right?
Perfection!
Now we can plug in each set to equal that.
What is your new equation?
Alright
2x+10+114+2x+112+x=540. Is this correct? Im not sure
One moment while I do it myself and check. :D

Did you remember that the little square resembles a 90 degree angle?
Ohh ya
(: That's a tricky one to remember. So now let's plug in.
What is your new equation? Let's start by adding the x's together. 4x + 10 + 148 + 90 + 112 = 540
Do you just add 90 to the equation
you shouldn't be using equations for this stuff. you should be doing it from basic principles.
Yes (: Let's keep adding, one number at a time. 4x + 158 + 90 + 112 = 540 Okay, next one. 4x + 248 + 112 = 540 4x + 360 = 540 Where do we go from here?
You just subtract 360 from 540 which is 180 and divide 180 from 4 which would be 45 and the final answer is 45 right?
Nice work! :D
Omg thanks!! I will give you a medal
Thank you (: I'm sorry it was such a long process; you did amazing!
