YESDD
So can you help me solve this?
yes which one do you think yuo're answer is ?
A and D
okay why do you thikn a and d?
Because the chart shows the information should be a and d :|
okay
So is it correct :/
'A' says that *the age of patients* of Dr. Appiah (the first) varies more than of Dr. Cantwell's (second). is it true or false?
So I'm guessing my answers are correct
You have to cooperate if you want me to help you. If you don't then just don't tag me =|
It's true
What in the data makes you say it is true?
43 and 29 :/
aha, but here is the thing. they don't ask who has older patients, they ask who has more variance in the patients' ages. So we don't really care about the mean age, that could be anything. we care about the deviation because it tells us how much the ages vary for each one of them
The higher the deviation, the more the data varies. it could still have the same mean, but it varies more around it.
So, which one of the doctors has higher deviation? the first or the second?
First :\
But the MAD of the first is 9.7 and the second's 13.9, how could 9.7 be higher than 13.9?
Ok 2nd then
Right. but A says that the first has higher than the second. so A is false. what about B?
It's true .-.
yes, because the first's MAD is indeed less than the third's. good. C?
True
Right, because 13.9 and 14.1 are close numbers. D?
Need help?
tHERE CAN ONLY BE TWO ANSWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well, another way to solve it I guess hehe =) but yes, D is incorrect, the deviation of Appiah (the first) is 9.7 and the deviation of Singh (third) is 14.1 Those numbers are not close, so it is not like the case with C grats you did it \( \Large ☺\)
